A Personal Note from Our Founder, Kirsten

My love of food started at home with my Mom. As an only child, I was her kitchen helper from a very young age. She taught me how to boil water, slice onions, dice mushrooms (which I'm still not a huge fan of!), and set the table with care. But more than just kitchen skills, she instilled a deep appreciation for family dinners, good manners, and the simple magic of sitting down together every night.

That early foundation shaped everything. Born in California, raised in Colorado and St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands, and later spending 13 years in London, I grew up exploring global flavors. My Mom encouraged curiosity—about cultures, cuisines, and people—and I've passed that same spirit on to my son, just as she did for me.

Spice Craze® is rooted in that legacy. Though I lost my Mom in 2024, every blend, every tool, every lovingly packaged product is a tribute to her—and to the joy of sharing meals with the people you love. Her influence is still simmering in everything I create and curate, and I hope you feel that love in every dish you make.
